Not everyone in Hollywood is obsessed with Oscar nominations.

Take Wednesday night's big launch party for Xbox's new "Gears of War" game at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

First to arrive at the pre-Halloween bash was a Britney-less Kevin Federline, who played the new Xbox game for hours with his posse of punks. No one on the red carpet heard him mention the Oscars once!

K-Fed was so darn busy gaming that he didn’t seem to notice all the hot babes at the party. Wanna bet he's like that at home too?

Mr. Spears wore a lot of bling and a sweatshirt that said "Playing with Fire." He spent his time acting like the bad ass Rap Star he isn't.

"Bobby" star Lindsay Lohan -- who may have actually mentioned awards during the night -- showed up in a Gucci frock that she'd worn to her previous engagement that night, the "Gucci on Gucci" book party benefitting the Film Foundation at the Bel Air Hotel.

Wow, the same dress? At two parties ? She must be slipping. The old Lohan never would have been caught dead at two parties in just one frock.

What was the scariest moment at Xbox?

A skeletal Kate Bosworth snuck in the side entrance of the cemetery, which was decorated with bright red skulls and spooky Halloween decor.

Safely inside, bony Bos chatted with La Lohan whom she hadn’t seen since they'd hung out together in Paris during Spring '07 Fashion Week.

Just imagine their conversation: "So what designer gave you the most free clothes? Really? Me too!"

Both girls met Epic game creator Cliff Bleszinski and tried to play the game. Bosworth, admittedly not a big gamer, praised the amazing graphics. She told everyone that she'd just gotten her first Xbox 360 a few weeks ago.

Hey, with no steady beau and no meals planned, the girl's got a lot of time to kill.

Who showed at the LA shows?

Why was Mischa Barton at the the Bebe Spring 2007 runway show at  Smashbox? And why was she smiling?

Because she's currently the face of the U.S. fashion label, that's why. So basically, she's gotta be there, wearing a Bebe B/W silk dress.

In fact, if Keds has a runway show, she'll be there too.  She also appears in their ads.

But other than  Miss Mischa, there were very few (okay, none) of the young  actresses featured in fashion magazines as cutting-edge trend-setters at the Mercedes-Benz Spring '07 Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios. No Nicole Richie. No Mary-Kate and Ashley. No Kate Bosworth. No Scarlett Johansson. No Kirsten Dunst. No Charlize Theron, who attended last year.

And there was certainly no one shopping for an Awards Season '07 wardrobe.

Rock and Republic's show at Area, unlike last year's event which featured Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders and a real runway show (not just video of their NY event) and stars like Posh Spice and Katie Holmes, didn't even attract the promised guests like Paris and Nicky Hilton.

But it did draw Nick Cannon, Frankie Muniz, Kelly Hu, Jeremy Piven, Eric Benet, Brittany Snow, Dominique Swain, Jonathan Silverman, Elisha Cuthbert, and Paris’s party pal Kim Kardashian.

Paris, Nicky, Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy did turn up at Social Hollywood for the William Rast show and party. Justin, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and will.i.am from the Black-Eyed Peas even performed for the packed house. It was so hot, fire marshalls even closed it down. Woo-hoo! Good times.

The Dressed to Kilt show on Saturday boasted Patricia Arquette, Thomas Jane, Linda Hamilton, Natasha Henstridge, and Kimberley Stewart. Sofia Milos was one of Sue Wong’s front row faces on Sunday night. Louis Verdad's overcrowded show also drew Alexis Bledel, Randy Jackson, and Garcelle Beauvais. Diana Ross turned up at Meghan’s collection and Angela Bassett was watching Dina Bar-El’s show.  And Daniella Clarke’s Frankie B runway show was watched by… Taryn Manning.

Kevin Hall's Thursday night show was attended by Joely Fisher, Milos and the Oscar-nominated "Sideways" babe, Virginia Madsen and Sinbad.

Milan sez Feed Starving Models

Madrid government officials, in an effort to put more meat on starving models, has banned skeletal string beans from the Madrid Spring '07 runway shows, which begin on Monday.

They're actually forcing fashion designers to calculate the BMI (body mass index) of their catwalk crawlers to make sure the models meet healthy standards in an effort to stop the emaciated images that help promote anorexia in young women.

According to the World Health Organization's standards, "healthy" means that a woman - 18-22 -  who is 5' 8 1/2" tall, cannot weigh less than 121 pounds.

Omigawd, are they kidding? That's like a size 6!

Apparently, their scheme is working so well that Italy may follow suit.

Milan Mayor Letizia Moratti has announced plans to meet with designers to talk about beefing up the babes modeling in the Milan Fashion Week runway shows from Sept 23-Oct 1.

Perhaps Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger can enforce this BMI rule in Hollywood?

C'mon, Ahnuld. If anyone can "pump up" Keira Knightley, Kate Bosworth and Nicole Richie, it's you.

It's time we all worked together to help feed starving models and actresses everywhere.

Scarlett Johansson fleshes out new Reebok role

What do Scarlett Johansson, Allen Iverson and Donovan McNabb have in common?

Inexplicably, the four-time Golden Globe nominee (“Match Point,” “A Love Song for Bobby Long,” “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” “Lost in Translation”) will join the Philadelphia 76er and the Philly Eagles quarterback in endorsing Reebok.

Okay, guys. Who made this brilliant marketing call? And who was the runner-up, Patricia Arquette?

No question the talented buxom blonde actress oozes sex appeal onscreen. Just ask Scarlett's "Match Point" director Woody Allen. Their second film, “Scoop,” opens July 28 and he told reporters last year that the pillow-lipped starlet is so divinely sexy that she’s been “touched by God.” 

But let’s face it. Johansson's voluptuous image is way more bedroom than weight room. She just doesn’t fly as a fitness role model. Certainly not when compared to buffer babes like "Charlie's Angels" Cameron Diaz, "X-Men"s Famke Janssen, "Fantastic Four" femme fatale Jessica Alba or even Tomb Raider Angelina Jolie. 

Miss Scarlett won’t be appearing in Reebok's "When Did I Know" campaign or in the “I Am What I Am” campaign which has featured the equally uninspiring and unathletic-inclined actresses Maggie Gyllenhaal and Christina Ricci.

Wonder if Reebok knew that a few years ago Ricci's former Hollywood trainer - who shall go unnamed - fired her, making her the only actress client he's ever dumped, because she smoked cigarettes between workouts and missed her morning training sessions due to late night partying.

Come to think about it, the only Reebok poster actress who made sense was Lucy Liu. She'd at least been a believable kick-butt babe in films like “Charlie’s Angels” and “Kill Bill” and looks like she might wear Reebok sneaks and duds somewhere other than a photo shoot.

Anyway, Miss Scarlett's multi-year contract will have her posing for "Scarlett “hearts” Rbk," a "fashion-forward athletic-inspired footwear and apparel collection" aimed at the international sportswear company's young female customers. The line will debut in spring 2007 in high-end department stores and boutiques.

According to new prez/chief executive officer Paul Harrington, Reebok will make marketing changes after being gobbled up by Adidas earlier this year. So expect fewer music figures like Nelly, Jay-Z and 50 Cent and more pretty Hollywood faces like Johansson.

There is one consolation to their latest choice.

At least Reebok chose a healthy-looking actress with a body fat level over 10% and didn't sign up one of Team Anorexia's bony babes Nicole Richie, Kate Bosworth, Mary-Kate Olsen or Keira Knightley.

Superman's high-flying world premiere

Spirits were sky high - literally - at last night's world premiere of “Superman Returns.” 

At the after-party, the cast - Kate Bosworth (Lois Lane), Kevin Spacey, (Lex Luthor) Parker Posey, Frank Langella, James Marsden and that hot new Man of Steel Brandon Routh - were all ecstatic about the raves for the iconic super hero's return to the big screen.

The top secret party location - according to the clever ’Daily Planet’ party pass - was due to concerns that the evil Luthor might crash Sup's party. But the bash turned out to be in an open air venue on the Veteran’s Administration grounds - just a quick limo hop from the nearby Mann Village and  Mann National theatres in Westwood.

Spotted in the family-style crowd: a blonde Roseanne Barr with her son Buck, former small screen Superman Dean Cain, Eva Longoria and her arm candy Tony Parker, Josh Jackson, Shaq O’Neal, Virginia Madsen, SNL stars Chris Kattan, Rachel Dratch and Amy Poehler, “Star Wars’” Mark Hamill, Michelle Trachtenberg, Paul Stanley of Kiss, Anna Paquin and Cuba Gooding, Jr. Everyone, even cast members, brought families, including Routh (pronounced like south), whose real-life mom carefully smoothed her 6’3” inch son’s hair before photogs snapped him arriving at the bash.

But guests had more to do than mingle. Some lined up to be snapped for a souvenir Daily Planet front page. Others snarfed down-home vittles in a cornfield/picnic tables Smallville setting. Many hung out nibbling sushi and cocktails in Luther's disco-like lair lit by laser lights.

A few guests even tried to fly.

That sporadic deafening roar heard through the night came from a 747 engine-sized fan that simulated sky diving for those brave/stupid enough to climb into flight suits and slap on helmets. “Imagine throwing yourself into a tornado,” explained the machine's operator. Um, thanks but no thanks. A far more popular exercise was the strap-in Gyroscope. But most parents only dared let young children leap on trampolines with bungee harnesses around their middles for a fleeting feeling of flight.

Bosworth sought relief from fans and press in a well-guarded celeb section with her on-again beau, Orlando Bloom, who has his own even bigger premiere – “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” premieres on Saturday at Disneyland.

The blonde actress affectionately rubbed Bloom’s back and kissed him languorously. Bloom kept close watch when his girl was pulled away to pose cheek-to-chest with her super onscreen love interest. He even barked a cautionary “Hey!” when Routh squeezed Kate a little closer. No worries, Orlando. Routh’s girlfriend Courtney Ford was watching, too. 

So where’s Superman/Clark Kent been? Seems he flitted off to Krypton to find his family, leaving behind a really annoyed Lois and a worried Mom.

In reality, he was trapped in Hollywood Development Hell for a decade until 2004, when “X-Men” director Bryan Singer signed on and made his vision: a more human – and sexually active – superhero who returns to earth to find that his true love has a five-year-old son and is involved with another man. Oh, and that his nemesis Luthor is out of jail and taking over the world again. Man, that guy just never gives up.

Routh handled it all - the long press line and the onslaught of congrats and photo requests at the party - like a pro. But he’s gotta feel like he’s landed on another planet. The unknown actor explained that he's gone from wearing Superman pajamas as a kid and dressing up like Superman for Halloween in 2004 to landing this lead role a year later.

But his onscreen mom – Eva Marie Saint – wasn’t worried about Routh getting warped by overnight fame. “Brandon will be just fine. He’s very grounded and disciplined,” said Saint. “He’s a good Midwestern boy – born in Iowa - and he has a firm foundation and values.”

But she did have one beef with the actor. No flight lessons.

“I didn’t get to fly once,” Saint complained. “I’ve told the producers that I’m not doing the next movie unless I get to fly. Superman should take his mom flying at least once!”
