Oh, no! Are the Beckhams lonely in LA?
OK, what are Posh and Becks doing hanging out at the Chateau Marmont every night? Don't they have a kazillion-dollar flipping mansion, enough money to hire a personal chef and plenty of famous friends to invite over? Are they hungry, lonely or just missing the London nightlife?
Paris-based fashion journalist Dana Thomas, author of the buzzed-about new book "Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster," was having cocktails at the Chateau last night with Decades vintage couture czar Cameron Silver and actress Shiva Rose McDermott while a nearby table was being kept open for the late arrival of the Chateau's new regulars, Victoria and David.
"They've been eating here every night," whispered one party guest. "It's crazy! The paparazzi are everywhere. Even when Lindsay Lohan was living here, there weren't this many photographers." The hotel has reportedly increased its paparazzi-proofing of the garden dining area to stop from photogs skulking about the premises, hiding up in trees to get shots of the hot couple. God forbid anyone should capture Posh actually consuming food.
While the Posh and Beck anticipation was going on, celeb makeup artist Carol Shaw and celeb stylists/Miss Davenporte designer Christina Ehrlich and Estee Stanley celebrated their new collaboration in an upstairs penthouse with their trendy pals Shiva Rose, Ashley Olsen, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Allyson Hannigan and ET's red carpet, um, fashion critic, Steven Cojocaru.
Their new project is called the LORAC/miss davenporte Showstopper, a nifty neutral makeup palette of day-to-night shadows and blush, packaged in a pocket-sized sparkly pinstripe box, now available on Sephora.com.
Shaw, whose longtime clients include Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts, already tried tested her new Showstopper shades on Debra Messing, who wore the eyeshadows to the Costume Institute's gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. "It was all about the smokey eyes," said Shaw, who will also be doing Messing's makeup for the upcoming Emmys.
Meanwhile, Christina and Estee, who are dressing Keira Knightley and Rachel Griffiths for the upcoming awards season, were jazzed about their very first miss davenporte fashion show being held Sept. 10 during New York's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for Spring '08 collections.
Just in time for the Emmy red carpet!

Thank God they are getting the "star" treatment in the U.S and not UK and Ireland any more. A more contrived person than "Posh" would be hard to come by. Perfect for LA. He just looks like a sorry imitation of a man, having to do every publicity garnering ploy that she has up her skinny sleeve. Pathetic really. LA is welcome to them...

His best playing days are behind him, and with a busted ankle he's not even exhibition fodder. She's a short boob job teetering on high heels. They had their 15 minutes, heck, they got 20.
Unfortunately, they are profoundly uninteresting. Linday Lohan seats the standard for celeb hi-jinks...these two are much too old to provide any entertaining schadenfreude.
