It's the day before the Oscars and I can finally see the light at the end of the Awards Season tunnel. The sun is shining, my hair is freshly blown dry, my attire is presentable and I'm setting off for the Film Independent's Spirit Awards in Santa Monica. My main reason for going is to listen to the always audacious host Sarah Silverman (this is her second time hosting), whose TV show is gut-bustingly sick and hilarious. But there is also the lure of the stars and creators of "Pans Labyrinth," "Little Miss Sunshine," "The Dead Girl," "American Gun" and "Half Nelson."
I'll be posting (hopefully ) a few juicy behind-the-scenes items from inside the show and backstage, if my newly jiggered Cingular PDA 8525 does its task as planned. Maybe even with photos! If it doesn't work, well, you'll have to wait until tonight for the deep dish. In the meantime, check out the broadcast live, staring at 5 pm Eastern time and 2 pm my time.
Sorry, but I can't stay for the big afterparty at Shutters. Gotta head to the Giorgio Armani Fashion Bash in Beverly Hills and be there by 5:30! I hear the fashion show starts at 6:30 and I want a front row seat. LOL on that one. Hey, move over George. I want to sit next to Leo. Whaddya mean you're saving it for that wide-mouth bass Julia Roberts?
