Who's primping and who's skimping

It's not just Globe nominees/presenters prepping for the Golden Globes this weekend. Even TV divas covering the awards show have been primping up a storm at suites around town. Here's Style Sneer Steven Cojocaru getting some finishing touches from the makeup experts at the In Style Luxury Suite at the Four Seasons this weekend. What, you thought he was a natural beauty?

More GG suite sightings later this week, but here's one for the freebie suite record books ...

Just when you thought that celebrities are bottom-less freeby pits:

Globes presenter Patricia Arquette stopped by the  Backstage Creations Talent Retreat on Saturday and chatted with Kim Marshall, who does PR for the romantic Starwood Tahiti resorts, the Bora Bora Nui and the St.Regis. Arquette had enjoyed a free week's vacation there after getting a Starwood gift certificate at last year's SAG Awards. She raved what an amaaazing time she had and how much she couldn't wait to return. But when Marshall tried to give her another free week, Patricia demurred, saying, "No, I couldn't. That would be greedy." How much do we love this girl?

Everyone wants free things. It reminds me of my mother who had the dastardly habit of swiping teacups and towels from fancy hotels in the 1960's. She was middle class and did it even though she could well afford to buy a cup and saucer, much like the stars who like to get very expensive things they too could buy themselves.

Patricia Arquette picks up things she really needs, like underwear from Hanes, but declines a trip to a luxury resort. That's my girl!

And the Blackberry? It's under $600 so no 1099 reporting required, right?
